Iteris, Inc. leads the traffic management market in the development and application of advanced technologies that reduce traffic congestion, minimize environmental impact and improve the safety of our surface transportation system. We are seeking the following individual to join our dynamic team.

Senior Transportation Manager – Michigan Region #6363

The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects within the Michigan market including business development, staff development, project management, proposal/presentation development, report writing, client relations, strategic teaming, administrative functions, etc. The qualified individual will serve as project manager or lead engineer on all work products and projects while serving as a resource for other offices/regions in the country. This individual must have the ability to build an office/region around them utilizing strong skills in one or more technical areas including traffic engineering and operations, ITS planning/design, or transportation planning.

Qualifications Required:

1. BSCE or equivalent degree
2. Minimum 10 years experience in transportation engineering industry
3. Professional certification (i.e., AICP, PE, etc.)
4. Minimum 5 years experience performing solid business development, project management and client relations
5. Minimum 5 years working knowledge of the Michigan market including major cities, Road Commissions, MPOs and MDOT and established contacts
6. Minimum 5 years experience leading a team, group, or office in the state of Michigan
7. At least 5 years experience in traffic engineering, ITS, traffic signal system design, and/or transportation planning

Qualifications Desired:

1. MSCE or equivalent
2. Michigan PE
3. Self-starter with good motivational skills, requiring minimal supervision
4. Excellent oral and written communications skills
5. Good working knowledge of traffic engineering or transportation planning software
6. Successful management of Transportation and ITS projects in Michigan
7. Excellent understanding of the consulting engineering business
